PADI Discover Scuba Diving Course
$250.00

Experience Diving With Our Discover Scuba Diving Course!

A Discover Scuba class, sometimes called a “resort certification”, will have you working with an instructor on basic skills in the shallow waters of Crystal Lake within an hour of meeting. The same afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to do a shallow dive along with your instructor.

While not an actual scuba certification, during the Discover Scuba Diving experience, you’ll learn how to use scuba equipment in shallow water and get a quick, easy introduction to what it takes to explore the underwater world. This course will allow you to complete multiple dives with an Beulah Outdoors instructor while you are here on vacation or here all the time as a local. If you decide you love it (and we think you will), and would like to complete an Open Water Certification program, your Discover Scuba Course will apply towards your class, reducing both the time and cost involved in a full certification.

Discover Scuba Schedule: 3 hrs (see calendar for dates and times)

  • Paperwork and Instructor meet & greet in the shop

  • Head to Crystal Lake for your "confined Water" session

  • Back to shore for a water break and discussion

  • 30 minute dive with instructor exploring Crystal lake shallows

Discover Scuba Includes:

  • Everything! All scuba gear, mask, fins, snorkel, confined water session and the "Explore Crystal lake dive"; even all taxes.

  • All you need to bring is your bathing suit and a towel and your adventurous soul.

Redemption

  • Purchase and book online and you'll receive an email redemption code and link to PADI Discover scuba documents.  This will prep you for your class and you can fill out paperwork ahead of time.

  • Phase 3 - Open Water Dives: Complete 4 dives in an ocean, lake, or quarry to review skills and explore the underwater world under professional supervision. [1, 2]

  • Prerequisites: Minimum age of 10 years old (ages 10–14 earn a Junior certification); must be able to swim 200 yards/meters unassisted and float/tread water for 10 minutes. [1, 2]
